PRODUCER / DIRECTOR
C hristopher Richardson is only cranky when he isn’t creating. Other than that – he’s a pretty easy guy to make great work with.
Christopher trained as a journalist at the University of King’s College, developed his visual style as a community-television producer, worked as an advertising agency media production executive and then moved into producing and directing award-winning documentary films. He is also co-producing in several feature films with Nova Scotian production company PICTURE PLANT.
His marketing and communications clients include governments, businesses and various community, labour and special-interest organizations.
His documentaries air on television networks regionally, nationally and internationally and he is a perennial fan favourite at film festivals around the world. His work is included in the curricula of Canadian, American, British and Australian schools. He also teaches documentary production at Memorial University in Newfoundland and Labrador, Canada.
Christopher is as comfortable in the edit suite as he is shooting in the field. He speaks the language of cinematographers, composers, motion-effects designers, post- production artists, agency producers and broadcasters. He gets the job gets done with the visual sparkle and narrative nuance it demands.
